market report for the week ending sEPTEMBER 18TH, 2026

Butcher cows and bulls followed expected seasonal market conditions, with values adjusting 10–15 cents per pound from last week’s market. Feeder yearlings and calves sold mainly steady, with some classes trading within 10 cents of last week amid changes in the cattle futures market.

​

Mature ewes, rams, nannies and billies sold steady to 10 cents higher. Feeder lambs and goats sold steady to 25 cents higher on average, with strong buyer support. All classes sold with good buyer demand. Lambs are kept under cover and provided water from the time they are unloaded at Stettler Auction Market Limited.
